Half Pint is a small, owner-operated homemade ice cream company based out of Seattle, Washington. Our ice creams are made fresh weekly with local dairy and eggs and other local ingredients when possible.

It’s so hard to believe that in just over a week I’ll be back out at the Columbia City Farmers Market scooping ice cream for all of the familiar faces I’ve come to love over the years. It’s been a great winter, full of lots of fun things, but my favorite time of year is upon us: farmers market season! The gorgeous weather we had yesterday made me realize that summertime is not so very far off.

I am excited to announce that I will be scooping it up at the Renton Farmers Market this summer, every Tuesday starting June 4th. This is a new market for me and I am excited to bring Half Pint to the Renton community. Being a resident of Columbia City myself, Renton feels like just a hop, skip and a jump away and I am excited to be spending some time in a new neighborhood!

That said, Half Pint will still be at it’s ol’ faithful markets: Columbia City on Wednesdays, Lake City on Thursdays and Phinney Ridge on Fridays. I’m so looking forward to seeing all of my regular customers and to meeting some new ones! Here’s to a HOT and sunny summer ahead! Now I’m off to figure out flavors for the first week…

On Friday, April 20th (that’s tomorrow!) Half Pint will be participating in Arcade Lights, a food and beverage tasting event at Pike Place Market. Arcade Lights had it’s first go last October and it was so much fun! There were some really fabulous food and beverage vendors there. I only wish I had had more time to walk around, sample the food and talk with the other vendors. Half Pint scooped up dishes with a trio of ice cream flavors. It was a great time.

This year we’ll be offering several flavors to choose from so come by and visit! I’ll also mention that as far as tasting events go, this is a very affordable one. $25 in advance and $30 at the door gets you 10 tokens to use at various booths. Additional tokens are available for purchase once you use those up.
